Colin Hensley, Former General Manager of Corporate Affairs & Planning, Toyota Motor Europe, Belgium

Until recently, Colin Hensley was General Manager of Corporate Affairs & Planning at Toyota Motor Europe. This included responsibility for all corporate communications, European media relations and external affairs planning for Toyota in Europe. He worked at TME for 15 years. After 9 years in R&D Management, he moved into Technical Communications, assuming his Corporate Affairs role in April 2008. Jason has over 10 years of Marketing and Brand Development Experience. He moved to his current role in December 2007 and is charged with steering and overseeing the Singapore Tourism Board's promotion, marketing and development initiatives throughout the region. Prior to his current role, Jason was a key member of STB's Brand Development Department. He has worked in Brand Development in leading consumer goods and telecommunication companies.

Ghassan has worked in sales and marketing for Micro Center and Safelite Glass Corp. in the United States. In 1994, 10 years after arriving in the U.S., Ghassan left to Saudi Arabia to work for Jeraisy Group in marketing & business development. In 1996, he went back to Lebanon and started his advertising career at TBWA’s affiliate in Beirut as its business development manager and later as managing partner for 4 years.

In November 2006, Ghassan was promoted to Managing Director for TBWA's operation in Saudi Arabia and has since developed the business across a wide range of sectors. Today, TBWA\RAAD is one of the leading agencies in Saudi Arabia with offices in both Jeddah & Riyadh.
 

 
Roger Haywood, Chief Executive, Issues Managers, UK

Roger Haywood is a leading UK corporate strategist with a particular expertise in developing board policy and supporting this through public relations and marketing. He also trains and lectures in these areas as well being a media commentator and writer on business issues of the day. Peter has lived and worked in the Middle East for over 25 years and earned his degree in Economics from the College of William and Mary in Virginia, USA. He has held several leadership positions in Sales, Marketing, and Operations throughout his career and has been responsible for developing Brand equity for two of the best known global brands in the world: FedEx and Philips. He is a member of the Advertisers Business Group, the American Business Council and a member of the CMO Council for MENA.

Joining Siegel+Gale 4 years ago, with overall responsibility for the Middle East, Tarek’s focus is to work closely with clients across the region to amplify the power of simplicity and establish a suite of fresh, elegantly simple brands in the Middle East that will have a lasting impact, both regionally and globally.

Tarek’s experience combines a rich and varied background in brand management, with previous roles including; working for the Dubai offices of Landor Associates (Saudi Arabia’s Supreme Commission for Tourism and Antiquities, Batelco, Brand Oman, Omanoil, Jadwa Investments, in addition to Procter & Gamble, PepsiCo, Philip Morris, Masafi and Nutrici), and running his own his own firm, where he created branding programmes for Aramex in Jordan, Mall of Punjab in India and Wadi Hills in Beirut.

At Siegel+Gale Tarek has led successful engagements for Qtel, Saudi Aramco, Abu Dhabi government, the Islamic Trade Finance Corporation and Du telecom, among others. Karim Elkari, Account Director, JWT, KSA

BA in business marketing from Lebanese American University year 2002. Started Advertising career in Dubai with AMC year 2003. By year 2005 moved to JWT Dubai as an account manager working on Unilever, Samasung, Diageo and Aujan. In 2008 promoted as an account director leading Nokia LGCC @ JWT Dubai. April 2010 moved to JWT Jeddah leading the team on Nokia, Moussy and Jenan Real estate.
 

 
Hashim Hashim, MD, JWT, KSA

Hashim started his advertising career with Leo Burnett Jeddah in 1992 working on P&G, Savola, and Shell. In 1997, he joined TMI-JWT Dubai as regional media director, and then, moved to set up MediaInsight (JWT /Ogilvy media investment company) in the capacity of managing director driving the Nestle AOR business. He then moved to Starcom Mediavest as Managing Director of the Beirut office and under his leadership, Starcom Beirut won a Gold Lion award at Cannes on Media Innovation. In 2005, Hashim joined Nokia MEA office in Dubai as Head of Marketing Planning and Campaign Development MEA Team.

Karim Kamel, Associate Marketing Director, Procter & Gamble, Arabian Peninsula & Pakistan

Born and raised in Cairo, Egypt, Karim graduated from the American University in Cairo with a degree in Economics and Business Administration. After spending two summers as an intern at P&G, Karim officially joined the company as Assistant Brand Manager, Laundry for P&G Egypt in 1999.

His tenure at P&G has taken Karim from Cairo, where he was Assistant Brand Manager for Laundry to Brussels, where he was promoted to Brand Manager, Laundry for the Middle East and Africa markets, in Jan 2003.

Karim finally moved to Saudi Arabia as the brand manager of Pampers in July 2006, where he got promoted to Associate Marketing Director role overseeing the Arabian Peninsula and Pakistan markets for Babycare and Femcare brands in July 2008.

Since December 2008, Karim has been assigned as the Fabric & Homecare Associate Marketing Director at Procter & Gamble Arabian Peninsula & Pakistan, which is the biggest business in regio. Karim’s career at P&G has spanned over twelve years, with an active involvement in brand building, and profitably growing business across the region, and lately .
