Rod has been associated with the Performance Consulting network since March 2001 where he is responsible for delivering training programmes and consultancy assignments in the areas of supplier management, contract management, purchasing and negotiation for a range of clients. He has been in senior management for numerous years and in various industries. He was the Chief Buyer for car manufacturer, Austin Rover, responsible for leading a team in the procurement and negotiation of civil engineering contracts, major plant and equipment purchases and small works agreements. Rod worked with power tool manufacturer Black & Decker where he was their European Group Commodity Manager, responsible for procurement and negotiation of international contracts for supply of materials to Black & Decker’s factories in Europe and the Americas.Whilst working with Caradon Everest, a home improvements company as Operations Director, he was responsible for procurement and negotiation of major contracts, with functional responsibility for all materials purchases.
