A Day With Lord Bell - Strategic Communications In A Changing World

Timings: Registration and coffee will be at 08.00. The Guru Day will commence at 08.30 and conclude at 15.00 with appropriate breaks for refreshments and lunch.

In this guru session Lord Bell, former communications advisor to Margaret Thatcher and a wide range of business and government leaders around the world, will explore the role of senior management in shaping the reputation of major organisations and, in the age of 24 hour news, the need for communications directors to occupy a seat at the top table. We will also explore the role of strategic planning in communications.

During the session we will look at a number of challenges including:
• Communications and strategic planning
• Earning a place for communications at the top table
• Leadership and managing reputation

“Perceptions are real. If you are playing to win, they have to be favourable. Your ability to persuade people to listen to you, understand what you are saying, and support you, will determine whether you win or lose.”
Lord Bell, Chairman, Chime Communications
