Invest Nigeria is an important initiative to encourage strategic investment in the National Vision and Economic Future of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Major decision makers from key government departments will deliver "showcase" presentations, reveal new initiatives and international cooperatives, announce new investment opportunities and outline the government's policies and programmes that guarantee a free market economy.
By 2020, Nigeria's vision to be one of the world's 20 largest economies, will consolidate its leadership role in Africa and establish itself as a significant player in the global economic and political arena.
"...the process of developing the Nigerian Vision 2020 blue print was an all-inclusive participation of over 5,000 Nigerians from all walks of life. If well implemented, the vision will translate to a minimum GDP of $900 billion and a per capita income of $4,000."
Dr. Shamsudeen Usman, Minister of National Planning, Federal Republic of Nigeria
