About the event

When unreliability and unavailability can result in your organisation losing millions of dollars, how can you use lubrication and oil analysis to operate higher performing  equipment which reduces that loss?

IIR’s Lubrication And Oil Analysis course is designed to provide you with in-depth knowledge and practical solutions which will help you in your day-to-day role.

This course, written and presented by industry expert Martin Williamson, is targeted at helping you to lead your company’s reliability drive in the area of lubrication and oil analysis.

The course is broken down into three parts, covering the fundamentals, and providing best practice solutions to ensure you achieve world class status in your plant.

The first part will address lubrication, covering the basics of oil and grease, and helping you understand the selection of appropriate lubricants with an explanation on understanding the lubricant technical data sheet.

The second part covers oil analysis and addresses the reliability focus, as well as explaining best practice sampling, testing, setting alarms and limits, and data interpretation. This will include basic on-site testing and how to improve your relationship with a commercial oil analysis laboratory.

The third part will be of immense practical value, focusing on achieving success through contamination control and lubrication management. This will cover issues relating to machine specification and filtration, as well as best practice strategy on storage, handling and dispensing lubricants.

In addition, it will also cover the body of knowledge for the International Council for Machinery Lubrication (ICML) examination. You will have an option to take one of two exams, Oil Analysis (MLA1) or Machinery Lubrication (MLT1). Each exam is three hours long and consists of 100 multiple choice questions. Full details of the two certified exams and their requirements can be found at www.lubecouncil.org

Whilst the exams are optional, the course will indeed provide you with the knowledge to take them and pass them! To help you prepare for the exam, the course leader has set aside one hour each day after the course to help you review the day’s training and have extra tuition.

The exam will not only benefit you, but benefit your company too by ensuring you are certified in Oil Analysis and Machinery Lubrication.

Visit Dubai This Summer!

Dubai is an Emirate of captivating contrasts. From the timeless tranquillity of the desert to the lively bustle of the souk, Dubai offers a kaleidoscope of attractions for visitors.
In a single day, you can experience everything from rugged mountains and awe-inspiring sand dunes to sandy beaches and lush green parks, from dusty villages to luxurious residential districts, and from ancient houses with windtowers to ultra-modern shopping malls.

The Emirate is both a dynamic international business centre and a laid-back tourist escape; a city where the sophistication of the 21st century walks hand in hand with the simplicity of a bygone era.
These contrasts give Dubai its unique flavour and personality; a cosmopolitan society with an international lifestyle, yet with a culture deeply rooted in the Islamic traditions of Arabia. Since earliest times, Dubai has been a meeting place, bringing together the Bedouin of the desert interior with the pearl-diver, the merchant of the city with the sea-going fisherman.

Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) is an annual festival focusing on providing fun, knowledge and entertainment through a medley of events that puts the ‘pep’ back into summer for both adults and children.

Each week during June to August, a series of weekly themed surprises unfold. Shopping malls become entertainment hubs providing shows and hosting special activities based on the different surprises. Combine business with leisure this summer! Enjoy discounted hotel packages and treat the family to a fun-filled holiday!
