Programme Overview

An Organisation’s Leaders Determine Its Future
That’s why investi ng in training your current and potential leaders will determine your potenti al for success. This programme provides delegates with a comprehensive understanding of concepts and frameworks of leadership, as well as the tools and skills required to successfully lead others. Throughout the programme we make use of modeling historic and present day leadership fi gures as well as case studies, video excerpts, roleplays, brainstorming, workshops,
demonstrati ons and simulati ons. The programme is delivered in four courses, each of which has a duration of fi ve days

Course 1
This course forms the foundati on of the programme – with a focus on the development of self leadership qualiti es. Delegates are evaluated for atti tude and personal drive and trained on essenti al skills and personal habits of great leaders.

Courses 2 And 3

May be taken in any order aft er completi ng Course One, according to each delegate’s needs and responsibiliti es. They focus on developing functi onal and team leadership skills including thinking skills, planning, people development and quality management. The fi rst three courses form a comprehensive development programme for secti on heads and department managers.

Course 4
This is the most advanced of the four courses and is aimed towards senior level managers. The focus is on strategy, organisati onal development and strategic decision-making

Who Should Attend?

The target audiences for this programme are those who currently lead others or are expected to do so in the foreseeable future. Experienced managers will fi nd this a great opportunity to expand on their current style of leadership and explore soluti ons to challenging situati ons, while upcoming managers or those with recent advancement to a management positi on will go through comprehensive training on skills and knowledge required to lead others effectively.


Course Requirements And Certifi cates
  1. To be eligible for the ILM Certi fi cati on you must successfully complete work-based assessment projects for each course. There will also be conti nuous assessment throughout the four courses. You need to complete and submit the assessment projects within six weeks of the course completi on date. Full details of the assessment tasks will be provided by the course director at each course. Delegates who do not pass the assessment, or who do not submit the assignment, will receive a Certi fi cate of Att endance from IIR ME.
  2. Delegates must att end all four courses within two years to be eligible for the ILM Certi fi cati on. Delegates who do not complete all four courses, will receive a Certi fi cate of Att endance from IIR ME for each course att ended.
