Poster Submissions

Posters on a diverse array of topics will be displayed throughout the event in the exhibition and networking areas.

We are currently inviting proposals for poster presentations focusing on topics related to resource assessment, geology & stratigraphy, geochemistry, processing and environmental and social studies.

Authors of short listed posters will be invited to participate in a poster session at the conference, and abstracts will be highlighted on the JIOSS website.

To submit a poster, read the following information carefully and complete the submission form.
Submission Guidelines

An individual may be FIRST AUTHOR on only ONE poster submission. Individuals may, however, be co-authors on more than one poster.

Please include in proposal the following:

  • For the corresponding author: Name, affiliation, address, phone number, email address (expect most correspondence by email).
  • For additional authors: Name, affiliation.
  • Title: Not to exceed 20 words
  • Keywords: List 5 key words that describe your poster content.
  • Short public abstract: Not to exceed 50 words and ready for print.
  • Full abstract: Not to exceed 250 words
Submission Content
Poster submissions require two abstracts: one for publication in the program and one for review purposes and website posting. The abstract used for publication (in the printed meeting program) is limited to 50 words. The abstract that will be used for review, and posting on the website if accepted, is limited to 250 words.

  • Abstracts must contain the specific goals of the study, the methods used where relevant, a summary of the results, and a conclusion
  • The title of the abstract should clearly define the work discussed
  • Use only standard abbreviations
  • All submissions must be in final form, ready for publication in the convention program. Please check your work carefully. No typos or other errors will be corrected

Submissions will be reviewed and selected by the JIOSS advisory committee

Communication

All communication between submitters and the organisers is done via email. It's important that the email address in your submission remain a current and active email address or you will not receive important communications about the symposium and your submission.
