David Francis Lead ITIL Trainer India David Francis has been in the IT field for more than twenty eight years. He is a chartered professional civil engineer by qualification and graduated with a Masters from the University of Natal Durban in 1980. David practiced as an engineer for ten years before transitioning to a fulltime IT career. He has worked in Africa, Australia, SE Asia, India and the Middle East. He has considerable technical and managerial experience in information systems planning, design, operations, control and management.Next to hands-on IT and project management, David has worked on various assignments in the areas of service support and service delivery, and has been involved with assessments and implementations based on the COBIT framework, ITIL and readiness reviews for BS7799 / BS15000 accreditation.David is an ITIL lead trainer and senior consultant and has been training and consulting with several large IT and non IT corporates in IT service management. He has focussed on various engagements for best practices and frameworks such as ITIL, BS15000, ISO20000 and COBIT in the areas of training, assessment and consultancy. He is a Certified ITIL V2 Service Manager, ITIL V3 Expert and trainer and is a member of the itSMF.
