Tim Sanders

The Super Sunday Guru Day is back by popular demand, with Tim Sanders for this year! Since its inception 8 years ago, the Summit has delivered inspirational and industry leading guru speakers like Tom Peters, Marcus Buckingham, Lynda Gratton and Chester Elton to the stage for one full day of innovative thinking, best practice sharing and intimate networking with the region’s HR elite. Like previous years, the Tim Sanders Guru Day will not disappoint.

It All Starts In HR!

During this day long guru session, best-selling author and former Yahoo executive Tim Sanders will provide strategic insights and strong takehome practice value for HR leaders. During his career, he's led teams in sales, marketing, operations, business development and human resources. He's worked globally, and most recently led a leadership session for Nokia's leaders in Dubai.

Part 1 – The Strategic Nature Of HR In The Modern Global Economy
Broken into 3 sections, Part 1 of the Super Sunday Guru day will focus on the strategic nature of HR in the modern global economy. Throughout the morning session, Tim will:

  • Demonstrate how HR is the key to corporate culture – long thought of as the only sustainable competitive advantage a company can possess. From staffing to onboarding to succession planning, "the way things are done here" can be steered by HR even more than the senior executives and corporate communications.

  • Provide data to demonstrate that in our new social media driven world, "the brand on the inside will become the brand on the outside." In other words, due to transparency, the company's promise is driven by the people that work there, their moods and sentiments, etc.

  • Challenge HR to take the role of "Strategy Drivers," whether the CEO initiative is service quality, sustainability or innovation.

Part 2 – Arming HR Professionals With Relationship And Leadership Tools
The afternoon session will arm HR professionals with relationship and leadership tools to act on their strategic value. Tim and his team have conducted vast research into the area of Emotional Talent – the ability to create positive emotional experiences as a company, group or individual. He'll provide advice on:

  • Email etiquette
  • Listening skills
  • Friendly culture building
  • Managing the mood state for engagement
Workplace Practicality: Leave Tim Sander's Super Sunday Guru Day with a new skill set that empowers you to bring out the best in your teams (and companies), drive innovation and productivity and resolve issues between people while maintaining valuable relationships.
