Programme Overview

The programme will move in a supportive learning atmosphere from looking at HR needs in various organisations, how to audit and evaluate HR through to more strategic issues. About This Event

Due to popular demand, IIR is delighted to bring you once again Essential HR Skills I and Essential HR Skills II. These two courses complement one another and are designed to provide you with a solid grounding in the principal aspects of HRM and HRD. They will equip you with the personal skills and technical knowledge required to improve your performance and enhance your profile as an HR practitioner.

As HR continues to grow in stature in the region, organisations will increasingly require HR professionals to provide advice and give assistance on those strategic issues that others cannot or do not want to deal with.

Essential HR Skills I will help you develop a strong understanding of how to put HR in context within your organisation by examining cultural, motivational and leadership issues. In addition, you will also
learn how to implement best practice in recruitment, realise the importance of communication and teamwork, gain an introduction to supervision, apply problem solving techniques to HR situations and audit the HR function within your organisation.

Essential HR Skills II will enable you to expand on the HR expertise you will have already gained by attending Essential HR Skills I. It will look at HR policies and procedures, training and development, managing performance and pay and reward schemes.
