About Your Course Leader

Paul Walsh currently mixes his consultancy work with lectures at further and higher education colleges and universities in the UK, together with training courses in the Gulf region.

Paul has a postgraduate diploma in Business Administration from Lancaster University, a postgraduate certificate in Education and Training from the University of Huddersfield as well as a certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Trinity College, London.

Paul combines teaching English with his vast business experience by running business English courses in colleges of further education in the UK. He teaches business English at all levels for the Cambridge University programme, English for academic purposes, basic English at all levels from beginner to advanced as well as running “survival English” classes for newcomers to the UK.

Prior to founding his own training consultancy in 1999, Paul worked with the Royal Mail in various roles, concluding his time there as the senior operations manager in Manchester, responsible for 1,100 employees and a budget in excess of £18 million.

In 1993, Paul led a team in the restoration of postal services in Kuwait as part of the national infrastructure regeneration process following the Gulf War. He has also undertaken consultancy work in Qatar and Egypt.

Now based in Oman, Paul lectures on various business courses specialising in finance and leadership.

He also spends time teaching adults with learning difficulties, basic business and retail skills.
