Steven is a leading authority on fraud. Over the last 20 years his firm has been retained by governmental, national and international organisations, all of whom had been victims of fraud.  His firm, PCB Litigation, has an extensive international network of experienced lawyers and investigators - which has proved an invaluable asset to the fight against the increasingly sophisticated fraudster.   Steven has been instructed on a number of notable claims arising from the Middle East to include: a very substantial commodities fraud; one of the multi million dollar claims arising from Dubai Aluminium; a billion dollar dispute between a financial institution and an off-shore regulator; a claim in which assets were successfully frozen in the Middle East, Europe and Central America; and a substantial international fraud involving a prominent Middle Eastern family.  Steven has also been retained on matters involving, amongst others, Russia, Germany, France, Ukraine, Ireland, Cyprus, Jersey and Kazakhstan as well as the UK and the US.

Steven has been appointed as the UK representative member of the Fraud Network of the International Chamber of Commerce [www.icc-fraudnet.com] and “Legal Experts” highly recommends Steven as a fraud litigation practitioner.   The Legal 500 and Chambers 2009 have identified PCB as a leading fraud litigation practice and 'The Times' describe PCB as "solicitors to the banking community".  He is a member of the Dubai International Financial Centre Courts.

Steven is Deputy Chairman of the Fraud Advisory Panel [www.fraudadvisorypanel.org] as well as Chairman of the Panel's Asset Recovery Working Party. He has been invited to give his views on the UK Government's Asset Recovery Action Plan of May 2007.

Steven recently accepted an invitation to be part of the delegation from the Corporation of the City of London which held meetings with the Mayor, Governor of and various Financial Institutions in Shanghai.

Steven obtained Honours in the Law Society examinations prior to qualifying as a solicitor in 1972. He moved quickly to become the litigation partner of a substantial Central London practice before starting his own firm in the late 1970’s.
