Course Introduction
There is little doubt that responsible business practices, trust and greater transparency will be the new business mantra. More than ever before it is vital for business leaders and senior managers to integrate corporate social responsibility in the overall strategy and at the same time, encompass all stakeholders – employees, customers, suppliers, investors, NGOs, the environment and governments.

Course Timings:
Registration will be at 07:30 and the course will commence at 08:00 and conclude at 15:30. There will be a networking and refreshment break at approximately 10:00 and lunch will be served at approximately 12:30.

Day One

CSR 101

This session will clearly define what CSR is and will demystify some of the myths around CSR.

CSR: The Stakeholder Chain?
To ensure successful planning and implementation of an effective CSR programme, it is important to indentify all stakeholders involved.

Day Two

CSR: Planning To Strengths
This session will define clearly define some of the preliminary exercises and engagements necessary to plan for an effective CSR strategy.

CSR: Alignment Is Enlightenment
A successful CSR programme is one that ensures alignment between CSR programmes and the needs of the stakeholders.

Day Three

CSR: Brand With A Buzz
Effective branding of your CSR programme contributes largely to its strategic success. In this session we discuss how to create a CSR programme with the right buzz.

CSR: Reporting With Integrity
The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI-G3) is the best practice standard for CSR reporting. It aims to make non-financial reports as clear and comparable as annual financial accounts.

Day Four

CSR: Arab Case Study

This session will review the experience of a local Arab company with their CSR programme from the inception to its current status.

CSR: What’s The Plan
This session will be a working session for individuals to work on their own draft CSR plan including all elements discussed in the course (planning, implementation and evaluation).

CSR: Here’s My Plan!
In this session, each participant will present their draft CSR plan to the other delegates and will get a brief opportunity to discuss it with the rest of the group.
