Anthony leads the Institute's Resilience programme examining the UK's capacity for resilience, its approach to risk and the protection of Critical National Infrastructure. He has written widely on national security, risk, resilience and the role of the private sector. He is a politics graduate and before joining RUSI was the Senior Parliamentary Researcher to the Rt. Hon. Bruce George MP, former Chair of the House of Common's Defence Committee. Anthony has also been based at the Security and Resilience Centre, Cranfield, where he conducted work on the future of corporate security. |

Meshal Bin Hussain Head of Cyber Security Operations Telecommunication Regulatory Authority, UAE
Eng Meshal Abdulla Binhussain is the Head of Operations at the UAE National Computer Emergency Response Team (aeCERT) with 10 years of hands-on experience in Information Security. He is leading the cyber-security incident handling across the UAE government as well as all sectors, and is in charge of Cyber Security Operations at the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority. His wide expertise in the information Security field has enabled him to continuously progress and contribute tremendously in this subject matter. Prior to joining the aeCERT, Meshal was the Director of Information Security at the Naturalization & Residency Administration-Dubai (DNRD). In this role, he built and founded the Information Security department and set the policies, procedures and standards, in addition to the laying out complete plans for information security development. He also played a strategic role in major projects in the areas of Border Security and Biometrics. |

Heli Tiirma-Klaar Senior Advisor to the Undersecretary of Defence, Ministry of Defence, Estonia
Heli Tiirmaa-Klaar has led a working group that developed Estonian Cyber Security Strategy in 2008 and has been in charge of coordinating the implementation of the strategy since then. Previously she has held several positions in Estonian MOD such as a Head of NATO Integration Division and a Head of Defence Policy and Analysis Division. She has established an International Studies Department at the Tallinn University and has published several academic articles and books. |

Chris Krebs serves as Vice President at Dutko Global Risk Management in Washington, DC, where he provides homeland security, critical infrastructure protection, and risk management consulting services to the private and public sectors, both domestically and internationally. Previously, Mr. Krebs served as Senior Policy Advisor to the Assistant Secretary for Infrastructure Protection, US Department of Homeland Security, counseling the Assistant Secretary on all matters related to the protection of US critical infrastructure and key resources, including the implementation of the National Infrastructure Protection Plan. Mr. Krebs was also responsible for the coordination of all Office of Infrastructure Protection international activities. |

Dr. Bernhard Hämmerli chairs the CIP task force at the centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) in Brussels. In 2007, he was appointed as seconded national expert on CIP from Switzerland to Joint Research Centre of the European Commission. His main interest in research is information security and critical information infrastructure protection (CIIP) and he is a Professor for Networking and Information Security. He has participated in three EU FP CIIP research programs. The last one is Protection and Trust in Financial Infrastructures www.parsifal-project.eu. He is editor of the European CIIP Newsletter called ECN www.irriis.eu. In associations, he serves as President of the Swiss Informatics Society and as Chair of Scientific and International Affairs in the Swiss Information Security Society ISSS. In consulting, his corporation Acris offers service in the same field. |

Jennifer Giroux Research Fellow Crisis and Risk Network - Centre For Security Studies/ETH, Switzerland
Jennifer Giroux is a Research Fellow for the Crisis & Risk Network (CRN) at the Center for Security Studies (CSS) / ETH Zurich where she heads a research project that examines the contemporary characteristics of violent non-state actors and the strategic targeting of energy infrastructure. For this project, she has performed field research in the Niger Delta (Nigeria). Other research areas include: resilience, critical infrastructure protection, and the role of information technology in emergency/crisis planning and response. In addition to assisting projects in Senegal and Ghana, Jennifer has worked with the UN, Center for Terrorism and Intelligence Studies (CETIS), and Center for Nonproliferation Studies (CNS). She holds B.A. in Anthropology and M.A. in International Policy with additional training in counter-terrorism studies, conflict resolution, mediation, partnering and evaluation. |

Nigel West Intelligence Historian, UK
Nigel is a renowned author and military historian specializing in intelligence, counterintelligence, and security issues. He worked as a researcher for two authors: Ronal Seth, who had been parachuted into Silesia by SOE, and Richard Deacon, formerly the Foreign Editor of The Sunday Times. West later joined BBC TV's General Features department to work on the SPY! and ESCAPE series. West's first book, co-authored with Richard Deacon in 1980 for BBC Publications, was the book of the SPY! series and was followed by many other books which have significantly contributed to the understanding of intelligence and counterintelligence history. His mentor was the famed British CI expert, Arthur Martin of MI5. West continues to write books. His many volumes include, Venona: the Greatest Secret of the Cold War; The Crown Jewels: The British Secrets Exposed by the KGB Archives; The Third Secret: The CIA, Solidarity and the KGB's Plot to Kill the Pope , Triplex, Secrets from the Cambridge Spies. He is the European Editor of the World Intelligence Review, published in Washington DC. He is also the European Editor of the International Journal of Intelligence and Counterintelligence. Between June 1987 and May 1997, Rupert Allason (aka pen name Nigel West) was the Conservative Member of Parliament for Torbay and made contributions to two Security Service Bills: the Official Secrets Bill and the Intelligence Services Bill. In 1989 West was voted "The Experts' Expert" by the Observer. The Sunday Times of London said that, "His information is often so precise that many people believe he is the unofficial historian of the secret services. West's sources are undoubtedly excellent. His books are peppered with deliberate clues to potential front-page stories." |

Mamoun F. Abdel-Hafez is an Assistant Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department at the American University of Sharjah. He received his BSc from Jordan University of Science and Technology in 1997, his MSc from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee in 1999, and PhD degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2003. He is specialized in the area of Dynamics, Navigation, and Control for Aerospace Applications. In 2004, he assumed a post-doctoral fellow position at UCLA to work on the design of Automated Landing Systems and in 2005 he was senior research engineer at SySense Incorporation. He published more than 30 articles in international journals and conferences.
