About The Event

As projects become more complicated, the need to estimate, schedule and control the associated project costs becomes a critical necessity. Even with an economic recovery underway, all eyes are on the cost of projects and how companies can best estimate them and control them during the period of a short or long term project.

Project cost estimation and control is an essential element in any project regardless of the project type, cost, scope and duration.

This new four day training course will provide you with detailed knowledge of how you can schedule projects and estimate costs in order to control them. Real life examples relating to project cost estimates and control will be presented by the instructor and will be analysed for discussion by the group.

This course will focus on providing you with the proven tools in breaking the project down, preparing estimates and schedules, developing and tracking budgets, and the use of Earned Value Management principles to support you in successfully managing your projects.

Cost control methods and tools for successful project management will be discussed in order to develop key performance indicators to monitor progress and cost expenditure. You will be guided through case studies and best practice processoriented approaches to managing costs, and will take back to your workplace the ability to apply this knowledge within a realistic and structured framework.
