How Your Reward Management System Can Promote Increased Retention

Facilitated by: Hay Group, UAE

Organisations like yours are shelling out high salaries and signing bonuses just to get qualified, experienced people in the door. It’s a very competitive labour market in the region right now and there’s a shortage of skills and experience. You are also paying a premium for GCC Nationals to meet government targets and societal expectations. Once you’ve got them in the door, and the initial satisfaction with the basic salary has worn off, you need to know how to keep your employees from walking out.

The revolving door of staff joining and leaving is discouraging. It affects the morale of people who remain, but it also, in many cases, can be dangerous (think oil and gas, healthcare).

During this workshop you will explore how various remuneration strategies can help you deal with the challenges of retaining staff in a competitive environment.

Discover how to make sure your reward and recognition programmes:
Are designed to match your employees’ needs
Are viewed and developed as part of your overall retention strategies
Not only engage and motivate people, but also keep them in your organisation longer

As this is a workshop there will be many opportunities to interact with other delegates and establish relationships that will add value to your own network.

Topics to be covered will include:
• Increasing complexities in market benchmarking
• Tracking and responding to market movements
• Design of short and long term incentive programmes
• How to design benefits programmes to promote retention (including flexible benefits)
• Linking reward to talent management
