Alan has more than 40 years of business experience, mainly at a senior management level, split between 30 years at a major UK bank and the last 14 years as an internationally-focused management consultant and trainer. In his most recent operational management role he was Head of Planning and Finance for a major division of the bank with 3,000 staff and an annual turnover in excess of US$1bn. For the last 30 years Alan has been a highly experienced specialist and practitioner in corporate performance management covering a wide range of financially-focused performance management disciplines, strategic planning and cost management.

In one of his later management roles he was directly responsible to the CEO of a 100,000 staff organisation for coordinating a world-wide cost management programme. Based on these extensive business experiences, Alan brings a highly pragmatic approach to the understanding and practical utilisation of activity based cost management.

Alan is a highly experienced consultant, trainer and course leader. The majority of his work is now undertaken internationally, especially in the Middle East/Gulf region, but also in the Far East, South Africa and Europe.
